Slendang Roté
The Fabrics of Roté are characterized by predominantly red and white patterns on a black background. The geometric forms are generally large and bold, but some intricacy may be found within.
This piece is a large slendang, worn over the shoulder as a sash or shawl. It was made in the village of Sangoen, several kilometers to the west of Ba'a.
